Skidoo Boxers began with our marriage, more than 30 years ago. In the 50's, Ski had a Boxer named Thor. Thor was perfect in every way---looks, intellect, etc., and was a son of the great Ch. Mazelaine's Zazarac Brandy. Wendy's great love during her youth in England was a Poodle. So, when Wendy's Poodle passed to the Rainbow Bridge, and after several hunting dogs, we were looking for our first show dog. Each looking for their own; Wendy a Poodle and Ski and Boxer.

As often happens, Ski got his way with our purchase of Joda's Top Brass, CD TT, a Glennroe Showdown son. Of course, Wendy really wanted a girl, so off she went and purchased Enko's Brass Penny, CD. From that beginning, and through a determined, albeit limited, breeding program, we have bred 20 AKC Champions. Among those are 3 ABC Dams of Merit, 1 Sire of Merit, 3 CD's, 3 TT's and 2 CGC's. Most recently topping these accomplishments if our first multiple Best in Show winner!

We currently have 3 Boxers in our home and all are house dogs. They are our love and passion, and provide a lovely hole to sink any discretionary dollars we have.  Of course we would not have it any other way!

We are active members of the East Bay Boxer Club and the American Boxer Club. Wendy is a member of the ABC Top 20 Committee, as well as a member of the ABC Membership Committee. We count among our friends many members of the Boxer fancy. We usually have a litter every other year. We occasionally have access to and/or knowledge of litters with our bloodlines or litters local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our goal is to breed Boxers that exemplify the standard, both in conformation and personality, as well as ensuring we breed dogs that have passed appropriate health checks. Temperament is something you have to live with. Our vision and commitment has always been to "breed quality, not quantity" and we have remained true to that goal. But, just as importantly, to ensure that each Boxer we breed, if not in our care, is in a loving caring home.

Our Boxer family has included three ABC Dams of Merit, 1995 ABC Best Puppy in Futurity, 2002 ABC National Winners Bitch, multiple Best in Show winner, multiple Best in Specialty Show winners, an ABC Top 20 contender, and ABC Award of Merit winner and other Boxers who are recipients of many prestigeous wins.

And of course our history is still continuing. Hogan and Monica are now both multiple Best of Breed winners with Monica also being a Specialty winner. Youngster Suzie recently finished her Championship in Palm Springs.  Skidoo grandpups have finished their titles and are producing their own Champion kids.

Wendy was proud to be one of 3 judges hand selected to judge the American Boxer Club Top 20 for 2008 !
